June 9-11 results

Monday's games between PD's and DA's cancelled due to the heat as was the Pd's due to Field Sobriety. The Die Hard with a vengence Da's suffered through the heat and got the game in before the thunder showers started. Even though the County enforcers had previously scouted out the DA' team it was all for nothing.

As reported by Wdavis: The DA's Office DEMOLISHED the County Enforcers last night 22-2. Without getting 5 outs an inning those manly park guards were not able to hang with those "Book Smart Only" DA's. After the Park Police starting pitcher commented "Worry about yourself," the DA's proceeded to do just that. How you like them apples??

But Officer I was Legally Parked

Smedley Park

This in from Roving Reporter Bill Davis:

We beat Juvenile Probation 16 - 10 last night. Rob "The Maniac" Turco was game MVP after taking a dive into Smedley Creek (Crum Creek) going after a fly ball. Also, Dave "The Beast" Tyler, and Meaghan "I Won't Play Catcher" Wagner contributed with multiple hits. Juvenile Probation's t-shirts looked good though.

All this while the County Enforcers were watching

an undisclosed County Enforcer claimed that Smedley park field may be better than Scripture Field. It should be noted that the county enforcers did not play any games at Smedley park this year.

New ruling came down from the commissioner's office about the use of illegal bats

Field sobriety Scores 26 runs.....

The bats came alive during the late game at Barrall field where defending champ field sobriety playing shorthanded (Only 9 players including one female). Without starting pitcher Karen Friel and excepting one out every run through the line up. Field sobriety still managed to scare the county enforcers by leaping out to a 13-5 lead early on in the game. An enforcer strategy played Eddie Gadell (aka St Louis Browns) like Tully in front of a female thus guaranteeing two walks each time through the 12 person line up. Such shenanigans allowed the County enforcers to barely eke out a 27-26 victory.

During the early game Guilty As Charged trounced a seemingly in inept Public Defenders in a 10 run mercy rule 18-6.

Shorthanded

Field Sobriety failed to have enough people to play and chose to forfeit last nights game against the district attorneys.

As Guilty as charged co-captain Rich Deal sat out and his wife played for GAC Rich Deal reports "The first couple innings were close between GAC and County Enforcers. In the 4th or 5th inning the Enforcers put up an 8 spot and never looked back. The Enforcers defeated GAC 17-13."

Field Sobriety allowed pinch hitters for ailing Legal Aid Staff Attorney Tom Kertan allowing the Public Defenders to eke out a victory in the top of the last inning 10-8 Simmilar good deed occured when The Court Jesters lent 2 players to Guilty as Charged and then went on to lose.

Jim Wright captain of the league leading public Defenders has asked the Commissioner for a reconsideration of the current top 4 teams in playoff policy.
