Ouch
Well Sports Fans,
A tough one for newbies Gibley and McWilliams last night. The Guards welcomed them to the league with a shellacking that would do Martha Stewart proud. For those who haven't seen them yet, watch out. I mean no disrespect to the teams we haven't seen yet, but based on what I have seen, The Guard is a strong contender this year.
I would give you a player by player scouting report but we were using new technology on the GMc bench last night and a "garbage in garbage out" inputting error by Cap'n Gibley resulted in the exclusion of a hitter in the lineup which threw everything off in our records. I think the official report of this smackdown is the book kept by The Guard. Suffice it to say, stay on your toes.

Congratulation to Guilty as Charged Delco Lawyer's Softball League Champions
Barrall Field: After over comming a 6 nil deficit on monday against the County Enforcers the Da's Scored 29 unanswered runs to cruise to a 29-6 victory and a birth to the championship game.
Guilty as charged look confident as they entered the first game knowing they only needed one win to lock up championship. The Da's were not going to make it easy as the Da's racked up 16 runs holding off the first seed Probation Officers 16-14 forcing a 2nd game. In the late game the DA's kept the game tight untill the 4th inning when the Guilty as charged found their groove and charged ahead winning the game 19-9 thus secuing the first ever Jim Wright Championship Plaque.
